What is cropping an image?

Cropping means removing the edges of a photo you do not need, to focus attention on what matters, improve the composition or fit it to a specific format, such as a square profile picture or a wide cover image.

With this tool you can move and resize the crop area with your mouse or finger, choose common aspect ratios (1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 9:16…) or type exact pixel coordinates. Choose the circle shape to get a PNG with a transparent background, perfect for profile pictures.
