What does compressing an image mean?
Compressing an image means reducing the space its file takes up by removing information the human eye barely notices. A 4 MB photo can drop to a few hundred KB and look practically the same, so your website loads faster, it takes less space on your phone and you can send it by email or messaging apps without trouble.
Our compressor smartly adjusts the quality of JPG and WEBP files and, for PNG, reduces the color palette with dithering to keep transparency and gradients intact. It also strips unnecessary metadata (such as camera EXIF data) that adds weight and may reveal private information.
Key features
- Batch compression: process up to 30 images at once.
- Three compression levels to balance quality and size.
- Transparent PNGs optimized with color quantization.
- Removes EXIF metadata to protect your privacy.
